Dr. Arlene Grant, President

SCN is making history as a 21st Century educational community. I am incredibly enthusiastic about spearheading this pursuit of excellence as the chief executive officer. Our innovation is inspirational and influential in positioning students for the future of the nursing profession. Please know student diversity is treasured and considered an asset to foster nursing principles, values, and trends. We welcome transfers and graduates of high school, other colleges, foreign educated, or non-nurse programs. Because of my zeal, I am visible in propelling this journey of goal achievement & career success.

Dr. Martin, Provost

Dr. Martin serves as Provost with a passion to achieve institutional excellence. With over forty years of professional & academic experience, she brings proven nursing, business, and administrative models to support the President in leading SCN as a College of national prominence. Her leadership is purposeful to enrich scholastic opportunities, advance operational outcomes, and enhance nursing and community relationships for the continuing success of SCN faculty, students & staff. Dr. Martin is a mentor to support pursuits for a nursing career.

Maxine James-Francis, Dean of Nursing Programs

Dr. Francis is a scholar, administrator, practitioner, & advisor. Her leadership and mentorship serve to direct, implement and evaluate the curriculum. As a motivator and facilitator, she is on-demand, promoting innovation in faculty and classroom practices. Students easily gravitate to her because of her versatility and high-level problem solving. Her commitment is to give full attention to the needs of every student for success. Dr. Francis is unwavering in aligning the curriculum with contemporary trends in nursing education and cultivating excellence in nursing education. Her aspiration is for SCN to achieve student retention and licensure exam passing rate at 100%, lifelong learners, and top satisfaction rates from graduates & employers of alumni.
