Nursing Accreditation

Effective August 21, 2025Starlen College’s Nursing Program is a candidate for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).

Candidacy status signifies that our program has demonstrated the potential to meet ACEN Standards and Criteria, and we are actively pursuing full accreditation.

Institutional Accreditation Status

Starlen College of Nursing is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) www.msche.org.

Definition of Candidate for Accreditation: Candidate for Accreditation is a status of affiliation with a regional accrediting commission which indicates that the institution has achieved initial recognition and is progressing toward, but is not yet, accredited. It is not a guarantee of eventual accreditation.

Accreditation Phase: A site visit for candidate accreditation was conducted in December 2025; the institution is currently awaiting a final decision from the Commission.
