Starlen College of Nursing (SCN or College) values individuals’ privacy and actively seeks to preserve the privacy rights of those who share information with us.  Your right is to know how information submitted through SCN’s website is handled. SCN is dedicated to preventing unauthorized data access, maintaining data accuracy, and ensuring the appropriate use of information.  Our commitment is to ensure proper physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards to secure any collected information online.  These security practices are consistent with the laws and regulatory practices of the State of Florida. Under Florida law, email addresses are public records. Only send electronic mail to the College if you want your email address released in response to a public records request. Instead, contact the specific office or individual by phone or in writing.

When you access the official SCN website, certain client information and essential & nonessential technical information are automatically collected. We don’t collect any other information through our official website except when you deliberately send it to us.  SCN does not routinely track individual visitor profiles; however, aggregate traffic/access information is analyzed for resource management and site planning. SCN reserves the right to use log details to investigate resource management or security concerns.

Under the Florida Public Records Laws, certain records in our possession are subject to inspection by or disclosure to members of the public. Client information retained after the requested Web page is transmitted will be available for inspection. SCN does not use nor share personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the purpose described without a clear notice on the site and without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. However, SCN may use aggregated and de-identified Personal Information that does not identify any individual. Information may be retained and used as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Otherwise, your consent will be required.
